1. Who we are
OIQS is the developer and operator of the OIQS iOS app and this website. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to support@oiqs.com.
2. Information you choose to enter
OIQS processes information you enter into the app, which may include:
- institution and account labels, optional last four digits, currencies and jurisdictions;
- cash balances, security tickers, quantities, manually entered prices, liabilities and physical-asset records;
- notes, snapshot edit dates, custom institution images and an optional profile name or avatar.
OIQS does not request passwords, tax identification numbers or complete account numbers. Please do not enter unnecessary sensitive information into free-text fields.
3. Local storage
Your ledger and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage. OIQS does not use CloudKit and does not operate an account system or server that receives your ledger.
Deleting the app may delete its local data unless you previously created a backup.
4. OIQS backup files
You may export a portable .oiqs backup and later import it on a compatible device. You choose the destination through Apple’s document picker, including local storage or a third-party file location such as iCloud Drive if you enable it. OIQS does not automatically upload or synchronize the file.
A backup may contain your ledger, profile details, notes and custom images. Protect exported files and share them only with people you trust. Files saved to iCloud Drive or another provider are also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
5. Securities and prices
OIQS includes an offline reference directory containing common ticker symbols, security names, exchanges, market countries, security types and currencies. This reference information is bundled with the app and is used only to help complete manual entries.
OIQS does not retrieve or provide live, delayed or end-of-day market quotes. Security prices, balances and exchange rates are entered and maintained by you.
6. Face ID and device security
If you enable Face ID lock, authentication is performed by iOS. OIQS receives only the success or failure result and does not access, collect or store biometric templates.
7. How information is used
Your entries are used on device to display your snapshot and calculate informational totals, allocations, currency exposure, geographic exposure and concentration summaries. Export and import occur only when you request them.
OIQS does not use your information for advertising, credit decisions, automated investment decisions or behavioral profiling.
8. Sharing, selling and tracking
OIQS does not sell or rent personal information. The app contains no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or cross-app tracking. The app does not transmit your ledger to OIQS.
9. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you edit or delete them, delete all OIQS data, or remove the app. Exported .oiqs files remain wherever you saved them until you delete them there.
You can export a portable backup or delete OIQS data from Settings. For assistance, email support@oiqs.com.
10. Security
OIQS relies on Apple platform protections, including device file protection and optional Face ID access control. Import files are validated and subject to safety limits. No storage method is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
11. Website data
The OIQS website does not use advertising or behavioral tracking. Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, browser information, request time and requested page, to deliver and secure the website under its own terms and privacy practices. Email messages are processed by the email providers involved.
12. Children
OIQS is a general-purpose personal recordkeeping tool and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum digital-consent age in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through an OIQS-operated account or server.
13. Your privacy choices
You can access, correct, export and delete app information directly on your device. OIQS does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact support@oiqs.com if you need assistance.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when OIQS features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated, and material changes will be communicated through the app or this page when appropriate.
